Freda Manweiler, Smashing Times Theatre Company Manager, was a keynote speaker at the national launch of EPALE in Ireland, an event hosted by Léargas at the Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin, on Tuesday 3 November 2015, from 10.30am to 15.30pm.

The launch was aimed at adult learning practitioners and relevant policy makers in the field of adult learning. It brought together stakeholders from a wide range of adult learning, community education and further education organisations. The focus was on introducing EPALE to the entire adult education community in Ireland, explaining its purpose and how it works. EPALE is an electronic platform for adult learning in Europe funded by the European Commission and is set up for tutors, trainers, researchers, academics and policy makers. EPALE supports finding and sharing best practices, news, policy developments, blog posts, events and resources on adult education and provides a space where members can make professionals connection using the partner search feature.
