Smashing Times Theatre Company Ltd is a professional theatre company involved in professional performance, training and participation. The work of the company is underpinned by a rights-based approach and a commitment to artistic excellence and social engagement.   The company has four high profile patrons – Maeve Binchy, Brian Friel, Tim Pat Coogan and Robert Kee.  Smashing Times Theatre is supported by
Dublin City Council Arts Office.
For 2010 we are looking for an intern to work directly with the Manager on various areas of the business.
 Work would include:
 General office admin
Research project (funding opportunities nationally and internationally)
Writing grant applications
 Marketing and PR liaison
 Theatre production assistant

 We are looking for someone who is pro-active & motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, confident, well organised and with excellent  written, communication and people skills. You would also need good computer skills (WORD and EXCEL mainly, though experience with web page maintance would be a bonus . Smashing Times Theatre Company  are an enthusiastic company who value experience and work ethic just as much as academic achievement.
 You must be interested in drama and theatre and in particular issue based theatre . Check out our website for more information on what we do.
Ideally we would like someone who is affiliated with a college course that necessitates an internship in arts admin / admin, but this is not essential.
This is an unpaid internship with a small performance based bonus. Ideally the position would be full time for 6 months but we are flexible with hours and they can be negotiated. To start immediately, subject to interview.
